Case Manager

OregonFull-Time

Manage client intake for families facing foreclosure. Research surplus fund eligibility, identify relevant assistance programs, develop resource plans, and connect clients with licensed professionals and community resources.

Requirements

  • 2+ years case management or social work experience
  • Strong knowledge of foreclosure prevention programs and community resources
  • Excellent research and organizational skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Deep empathy and crisis de-escalation skills

Grant Writer

RemotePart-Time

Research and write compelling grant proposals for federal, state, and foundation funding. Track deadlines, manage the full application lifecycle, and maintain relationships with funders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years grant writing experience, preferably in housing/company
  • Proven track record of winning $100K+ grants
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Familiarity with grants.gov, foundation databases, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Legal Aid Attorney

OregonPro Bono / Contract

Represent families in foreclosure proceedings, challenge improper tax lien practices, and advise on homeowner rights. Work closely with our housing counselors to provide comprehensive client support.

Requirements

  • Active bar membership (Oregon preferred, any state considered)
  • Experience in foreclosure defense, housing law, or consumer protection
  • Commitment to pro bono or reduced-fee legal services
  • Trial and mediation experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills for client-facing work

Community Outreach Coordinator

RemoteFull-Time

Build relationships with community organizations, churches, schools, and local government. Organize events, workshops, and informational sessions to connect at-risk families with our services before it is too late.

Requirements

  • 2+ years community organizing or outreach experience
  • Strong public speaking and event planning skills
  • Experience working with underserved communities
  • Social media and digital outreach proficiency
  • Willingness to travel for community events

Software Engineer

RemoteContract

Build and maintain our web platform, automation tools, and internal systems. Work on grant research automation, case management, and public-facing features that help families find help faster.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
  • Familiarity with Vercel deployment and serverless architecture
  • Experience building automation workflows and internal tools
  • Interest in civic tech and company mission-driven work
  • Self-directed with strong async communication skills

Volunteer Opportunities

Crisis Hotline Volunteer

Answer calls, collect intake information, research surplus fund eligibility, and connect clients with appropriate resources. Training provided.

4-8 hours/week, flexible scheduling

Pro Bono Legal Counsel

Provide legal consultations, review documents, and represent clients in foreclosure proceedings on a volunteer basis. CLE credits may be available.

5-10 hours/month, case-by-case

Community Event Organizer

Plan and host foreclosure prevention workshops, know-your-rights seminars, and community resource fairs in your local area.

1-2 events/month

Data Entry & Research

Help maintain our database of state foreclosure laws, available assistance programs, and grant opportunities. Detail-oriented individuals welcome.

2-4 hours/week, fully remote

Social Media Ambassador

Share our mission on social media, create content highlighting foreclosure prevention resources, and help families find us before it is too late.
