About AuctionBlock

AuctionBlock is an index of forced-sale auctions: houses, vehicles, aircraft, boats, equipment and businesses sold because an owner was made to sell — by a court, a tax authority, or a creditor holding a lien.

These sales are published by thousands of courts, gazettes and agencies, each in its own format and language. We collect the listings from the official sources that publish them, say who is selling and on what authority, and put each notice beside what it means for a buyer: what the sale clears, what follows the asset, and what it costs to own.

Alongside the listings we maintain a guide to each country’s process, written from the statutes, regulations and court decisions themselves. Where something cannot be confirmed, we say so rather than guess.

We started with Argentina, where every kind of asset is covered, and the United States, where we cover vehicles, boats, aircraft, equipment and businesses. More countries follow.
